Frequently asked questions

FAQ.

The short answers to the questions that sit outside the Rulebook.

What is Gauntlet?

Gauntlet is a two-player tactical card-and-territory game about deck construction, hidden battle commitments, territorial control, faction asymmetry, and breaking through the opponent's line.

Is Gauntlet released?

Not yet. Gauntlet is an unpublished pre-release project in active development and expanded playtesting. The current canonical playtest edition is v0.7.1.

How do I start playing?

The Start Playing page introduces the shared game flow, helps you choose a faction and Leader, and hands off to a ready-to-play starter Deck for physical or Tabletop Simulator play.

Where are the current rules?

The Browser Rulebook is the current player-facing rules source. It also links to the printable v0.7.1 Rulebook booklet.

Can I build my own Deck?

Yes. The Deckbuilder builds, validates, saves, exports, randomizes, and prints complete current-edition Deck packages.

Can I play digitally?

Yes. The current public Tabletop Simulator Workshop mod supports the v0.7.1 game, all twelve starter kits, the current Mystics Rite package, and Deck Code import. The Playtest pages provide the current tracked playtest workflow.

What is the Rules Arbiter?

The Rules Arbiter is a rules-support tool grounded in the published Gauntlet rules and card data. It is intended for card text, battle timing, territory interactions, faction systems, and victory-condition questions.

How can I help with development?

Playtesting is the most useful contribution right now. The project is especially focused on matchup and faction balance, winner and loser experience, self-serve onboarding, and identifying unclear rules or awkward interactions.

Who makes Gauntlet?

Gauntlet was created and is developed by Tymon Scott. It is published by TDS Games, an imprint of Misty Hollow Enterprises. More background is on the About page.

How do I contact the project?

Use the Contact page for general, business or publishing, press or media, and website inquiries. Rules questions and structured playtest feedback have dedicated tools elsewhere on the site.
